Pattaya Talk Forum

Jan 11th, 2007 | By Editor | Category: Pattaya web sites, pattaya forums, tourists

Pattaya Talk is the largest of the many chat and information forums about Pattaya. As I write it has over 11,500 members and 410,000 individual posts.

Unlike some of the alternatives (pattayaaddicts.com for example) it is owned and managed by one bar - the FLB bar in walking street - so quite naturally there is a bias towards that bar.

Although the emphasis is on the night-time lifestyle, i.e. about bars and girls, there are also useful sections about Thai culture, Expats, working in Thailand, hotel reviews etc.

  1. I agree in part that the pattayatalk site is the biggest but almost all the boards have become flame grounds with the exception of pattayaaddicts.com.

pattaya-chat.com is just a nasty place to be; full of people with nothing better to do with their lives than to pick a fight.

It still remains to be seen whether the pattayaaddicts site can maintain its friendliness - only time will tell.

  2. As a member of several Pattaya related forums I can say that I am pleased with the way Pattaya Addicts has managed to stick to their stated goals of being an informative, fun forum free of flaming and abuse, something that is not always the case with other Pattaya forums.

Although Pattaya Addicts has been in existence for a little over one month they have managed to grow to over 600 members already and have attained over 7000 posts. This is very good for a new forum in a market that is heavily saturated already.

At this point the staff of Pattaya Addicts has spent a considerable amount of time to ensure that they are building a comprehensive database of information about Thailand and in Pattaya in particular. They have information on all of the Thai Provinces as well as many of the cities in those provinces. They keep up to date coverage of news that is of immediate concern to travellers and expats. They also have a lot of cultural and tourist information available on the site and are rapidly expanding the level of that information.

As they gain more members, and thus more sources of information, I anticipate that they may become one of the best sources of up to date and reliable information in the region. I wish them continued success.

  3. I appreciate your unbiased review of each forum and what they have to offer, I am member of of the as you put “Big 4″ forums and agree with what you have to say.

I don’t post on pattaya chat or secrets (although
I wasn’t fully aware of their leveleed memebrship and that various levels offer more).

I agree that Chat and Secrets board have lost their way a little by becoming involved in board wars and flaming others.
FLB is a great wealth of Information and Pattaya addicts seems to be the most newbie freindly board.

I have just visited your site for the first time and have been impressed by what it has to offer.
